A day at the Ranch

My friend Gi-G has a ranch. I'm talking about one of those ginormous ranches that you see way off in the distant when you are driving through the hill country. The ones with the custom rod-iron fences, personal pond, a mansion for the family, and a work house for the labor. Yeah, one of those ranches. It was definitely the biggest ranch that I've ever been to.

We went out on a drive around the property, and stopped to see the horses. As we were walking around this bull was getting so angry at us. He kept snorting and running towards us.
Bulls are mean and scary and crazy.

We made it to the horses safely, although the bull kept a close eye on us the entire time.

I was hesitant to let Henry down. I didn't want him to get trampled.
He wasn't nervous at all. The boy was one with the horses.

We went back to the ranch and hung out with a bunch of friends; and although they love Henry so much, we all became a little antsy and we wanted to get back outside.

{SIDE NOTE}
I realized that one of the biggest problems with the Southern culture is that so many people have the inability to have a good time without drinking. We were at this beautiful ranch, with all the resources, land and beauty at the tip of our hands; we could hike and bike, walk and picnic all day; but instead my friends were all hanging out by the pool, or by the TV or on the patio- drinking.
Lame.

So we went back out to visit with the cows

Of course we had to do an impromptu photo shoot.

I loved the ranch. Maybe one day we'll be able to have some land of our own...I doubt we'll have the mansion, and the pool and etc. etc. But it would be our little piece of heaven-and that would be awesome.

You're right. A ranch like that would be heaven. Especially for little boys!
