I can't believe so many members of my faith take Beck seriously. I mean come on, I found a copy of one of his books in the chapel several Sundays ago!

"Christianity doesn't deny the reality of suffering and evil... Our hope... is not based on the idea that we are going to be free of pain and suffering. Rather, it is based on the conviction that we will triumph over suffering."
- Brennan Manning
“Wounding and healing are not opposites. They're part of the same thing. It is our wounds that enable us to be compassionate with the wounds of others. It is our limitations that make us kind to the limitations of other people. It is our loneliness that helps us to to find other people or to even know they're alone with an illness. I think I have served people perfectly with parts of myself I used to be ashamed of. ”

This was hysterical!
And are you kidding me? You found a Glenn Beck book in the chapel? Is it now considered to be official scripture? Is it to replace The Pearl of Great Price?
Why did they get rid of The Pearl of Great Price anyway? I don't get it.
