2,000 miles and back

We've driven 4,000 miles in 10 days! Through Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, back to Utah, back to Colorado, back to New Mexico and finally home to Texas. Whew! What a trip!

We just got back to reality. O.K it's been two days. And reality is just settling in.
My house is still a mess. That's the worst part about coming back from vacation. You return with more crap and a bigger mess.

We headed up to Colorado to see our BFF's the Andersons. Boy are we so glad that we saw them! How we miss them. Unfortunately I was a funpire (like a vampire, but instead of sucking out the blood I suck out the fun,) because of my recent foot surgery. Sorry guys! Maybe next time we can go hiking!

We did get to go see Denver and Boulder. One thing I know is I {heart} Colorado. Who knows, maybe we'll move there!

Next we went to Idaho to see Pop-Pop Shelton. How I wish that that whole situation was different. But for now, we enjoyed a day on the town with good old Burt. Hopefully we will be able to make more memories like that one.

Then it was off to Utah for THE WEDDING!
John and Holly got married. My little sister-married. Weird.

The Beautiful Logan Temple

Boy, is Henry a looker or what?!

Finally Henry knows who Gangie is!

Quinton loved the cookies at Holly's reception.

"Sisters, Sisters, never were there ever better sisters!"

Our little family
(and I know I look fat there...but I'm not pregnant I promise!)

We got to spend some time with the Sheltons too.
This is Henry's twin cousin Ethan.
They were born on the same day (well different years of course).

The Shelton Kids
Dan (Henry), Paul (Ethan), Ben (Cooper) and Katrine (Devin)

When Henry realized that we were FINALLY home he was so excited. He was pounding at the door to get inside, and when he realized that his room was still where he had left it he became giddy with excitement. I guess it's true, home is where your heart is.
And for now our heart is in Texas.

We have missed you guys Tons!!! I had more fun hanging out with you guys than I have had in a long time. We are planning to come visit you in Texas next year - we want to take a trip down south to Santa Fe and Austin. I would love it if you guys moved to Colorado - that would be THE BEST.

Wow. What a great trip. What a LONG trip. I'm glad you got to see Dad and he got to meet Henry.

Ahhhh, the Logan temple. That's where Claire and I were married. Lots of memories there.

Great post!
