We have been driving cross country the last couple of days. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, between here and there I saw this on the window of the lowly KFC:
Maybe you didn't know that KFC and Susan G. Komen have joined their mighty forces in something they are calling "Buckets for the Cure."
IT MAKES ME SICK!
It makes me ANGRY!!!
It is obvious that KFC is able to and will continue to bring in BIG dollars for Susan G. Komen. However, it has been proven that eating fatty foods increases the risk of breast cancer (as well as other cancers.) To me it sounds like Susan G. Komen has sold out, when they know that eating at KFC is the last thing that a cancer patient or survivor should be doing!
KFC has continued to make headlines on the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine website in articles including subjects such as; keeping kids away from the double down sandwich, doctors suing KFC over carcinogens in their products and, cancer in a bucket, or click here for a list of articles. Please, at least read this article from ABC news.
Trust me. I am a survivor. I believe in research. What Susan G. Komen has done for breast cancer has been incredible. But this campaign is hypocritical and a pathetic attempt at making the most money possible at the expense of truly educating the public on how to prevent cancer.

$3,107,988 Dollars! That's amazing. That's great!

Oh, no. This is disappointing. I don't even know what to say, except I'm glad I don't ever eat at KFC. I'm amazed that they have raised so much.
This is so gross! What is this world coming to? Seriously KFC has some of the most unhealthy food ever!
Seriously disgusting. That stuff is garbage and WILL cause cancer and all other kinds of health problems. What a shame.
