It sounds great sleeping all day, eating, pooping, eating some more, sleeping some more, barking and chasing cats, then back to sleep until the afternoon is over. What a life to be a dog. It sounds nice, so I decided I'd try it today. Wake up late, eat, sleep, eat, lounge around. But then comes the boredom, the anxiety, the depression. And being a dog isn't so fun anymore. So I guess like everything I learn through trial and error. And the lesson today is I enjoy being a human. But maybe next Sunday I'll try the cat's life...it seems pretty interesting too.

There have honestly been periods in my life when I have truly wished I were a dog or a cat. During these times I would find myself staring longingly at the cat in the window, doing nothing, or the dog laying on the floor without a care in the world. But you're right---I'd get bored too fast or get anxiety from being along in my own head for too long. I'm glad to be human, too.
