We’ve been together for: 7 years 4 months and one day
What I call him: Daniel
What he calls me: Secret Lover, Baby Doll, Puddle Jumper, Snookums, Schkoda [sp?], Love of his life
How we met: At Snow College at church
How I knew I liked him: I got all excited when his radio show went on the air, my college roommate said, “You like Dan-don’t you.” I quickly replied “we’re just friends.”
How I knew I loved him: We were sitting in his car one night and he was rambling on about how I was the best friend he’d ever had, but he loved me more than a friend, uh, er… what he was trying to say horribly was ‘I love you.’ I just started crying because I realized I loved him too.
The thing I love most about him: He is so kind and sensitive. He is concerned about everyone’s welfare and he wants everyone to succeed. He is very supportive and encouraging of all of my decisions (even the crazy ones). But by far I love him because he is the only one in the world who truly understands me and gets me.
The thing I hate about him: Hate is a strong word, but I can’t STAND his legs shaking!
He makes me laugh when: He always has something funny to say…most of the time it is sarcastic or dark humor, but it is still funny. I like how he can laugh out-loud. I often hear him late at night laughing as he watches The Office, or Arrested Development. I like that.
I make him laugh when: I don’t make him laugh. I am very boring and have no sense of humor. I’m not funny. Am I being funny now?
What makes him tick: Books, school, audio books, documentaries, keeping busy-busy-busy, me and the dogs…oh and the stupid cat.
What makes him ticked off: The state of the Union, the war in Iraq, our nation’s health care system, abused and neglected animals, abused and neglected children, pollution, when he can’t find something, when I’ve thrown that something away, or when I’ve broken that something.
What he wants to be when he “grows up:” Historian/Social Worker/Army Chaplain/PhD in something (most likely public something or other) and a dad.
What he would want to be right now: A dad.
If I could change anything about him: I wouldn’t I love him just the way he is!

seven years huh? I never would have guessed it had been that long!
I love that you did this I think I am going to steal it, I have nothing to make up for Ray, but this seems fun and ray is easy to talk about and I love this Idea!! And yes Daniel makes me laugh too. My favorite thing about both of you, is that you don't take turns talking, you just talk over one another and so pretty soon the room is a rumble. I always laugh about that.
I love that he calls you Secret Lover. Daniel is a one of a kind, hilarious, ambitious, thoughtful, fun, talkative, go-getter of a guy. I think you two make a great couple. And by the way, I think you're funny!
Speaking of Dan, where is he? Does he still like Nicole and I? I've tried to call him a few times to see if he wants to have a super bowl party, anyways tell him to give us a call.
