Jon vs. Keith

OK, I admit it, I really like watching MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olberman." I really like Keith Olberman. His intelligence, eloquence, and smart-alleckness is appealing to me. Plus he was a sportscaster on ESPN when I was in high school so I spent a lot of time watching sports highlights presented by him.

However, he can also be extremely partisan, kind of a jerk, and a little too liberal for me. But good thing modern media has people like Jon Stewart to bring things back in perspective. Check this out, especially if you either like or dislike Keith Olberman.

Nice! Funny stuff.

Keith still does sports casting on Sunday nights on ESPN. But you probably don't watch sports on Sundays....

Well done, Mr. Stewart.

I think I've said this every time you talk about Olberman, but I'll say it again. I can't stand Olberman for the exact same reasons I can stand Hannity and the like.

Indeed, I'm glad Stewart put him in his place. Olberman has his moments, but one of his worst is when he accused Elder Oaks of not knowing "what the hell he [was] talking about" in regards to his comments on Proposition 8 in a speech given at BYU-I. Olberman... telling a former Utah supreme court justice that he doesn't know what he's talking about in a talk that discusses implications for law and religious freedom? Look in the mirror, my friend. Olberman totally quoted Elder Oaks out of context and clearly didn't understand what he had been talking about.

I'll trust Olberman when he's ethical more often than some of the time.
