Heidi Wonka,Heidi Wonka: The Amazing Chocolatier

This was my first time making my Grandma Williams' Famous Christmas Chocolates. My sister Rachel and I spent a Saturday making fudge and mint chocolates with our Grandma. We had so much fun, and Grandma said you could get a "cheap drunk" off the mint-it was that good. Grandma was a little worried about Rachel-but we all pulled through. We almost lost a batch of the mint, but Grandma hasn't lost a batch in the 40 years she has been making chocolates-and she wasn't about to lose a batch this year either. I made milk chocolate fudge with white chocolate drizzle, milk chocolate mint with green (white) chocolate drizzle, white chocolate fudge with milk chocolate drizzle, dark chocolate mint with red (white) chocolate drizzle, dark chocolate fudge with nuts, and dark chocolate with fudge and marshmallows!!! I was dipping chocolate for over two hours! Now the final test-can I make caramel turtles without Grandma's help?

They look beautiful!

I made caramel once...it about gave me a heart attack! I was so oober-paranoid that it would boil over, scorch, burn, be too hard or too soft...GOOD LUCK!
