Future Chiropractor in the Making

The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease
-Thomas Edison-

I started my first week of Chiropractic School and I thought I would share my top ten reasons that I want to be a Chiropractor (drum roll please):
  1. I want to live a healthy, natural and well life.
  2. I want my children, and grandchildren....well everyone I know to live a healthy, natural and well life; free of illness, disease and pain.
  3. I would like to change the world (all be it one back at a time.)
  4. I would like to show my children that girls can! (can go to school, can be successful, can...)
  5. I would like to help improve the national health care costs (50 million Americans are without Health Insurance [Robert Wood Johnson Foundation] and in 2002 Americans spent $1.42 trillion on health care!)
  6. I think I look nice in a lab coat.
  7. So I can show cancer who's boss.
  8. So that I can continue to use the skills and knowledge I was taught in X-Ray School.
  9. I would like to use my skills to adjust my animals (they need chiropractic care too!)
  10. It just feels right-isn't that enough?

Happy New Year Everyone!

Heidi and Dan saying "goodbye" before going to the airport

So Two Thousand and Eight has begun. Dan and I have spent the last week in Texas together, on what really felt like an extended vacation. He unfortunately had to go back home, while I stay here. Home is relative though, considering that now Texas is my "home." Dan is lonely already and I guess the dogs are missing me too, because they keep looking over the balcony hoping to see me. There is a big change from living in my little world and now living with a family and kids...it's not bad, it's just different.

But who can be sad and lonely when you live with the best family in the world...and who can be sad when you wake up to this happy screaming baby every morning?
